Introduction:

This is an invitation to explore far beyond the boundaries of “finding yourself” – perhaps finding your “higher self” – your creative self, your cosmic self, your dreaming self, over the age of 70…

But this message is an invitation to all people of every age, to imagine “finding yourself” in the sometimes freer realms of the time of becoming an elder, having more time and new reasons to explore far beyond the 3rd dimensional reality that you have always known…

“Meditate on ‘Finding Yourself Over 70’” led to some real self-discovery – particularly just how important “freedom” becomes, creativity over 70 – real surprises await. But I was moved by the message that you do not have to wait until you reach 70 to do this meditation and explore the realms of your own higher self in a future of impossible dreams!

I wish so much that someone had asked me to Meditate on “Finding Yourself Over 70” when I was in my 20’s, 30’s, 40’s!! My life, my understanding, my empathy, my friendships would have been so much richer, so much more filled with service to others, and exploring higher realms of love and kindness, as a young adventurer!

Try it! At Any Age!  “Grandmother on Trying to Find Yourself Over 70 -- Looking for New Freedom of Spirit, Creativity, Cultures, and Your Higher Self at Any Age...,” Recorded 7-6-21, Posted 7-7-21. -- S.H. Rodman

GRANDMOTHER:

Greetings. I would like to speak to you today about trying to "find yourself" over 70...

Well, trying to "find yourself" is something usually associated with the "coming of age" of a young person, trying to discover what they want to do in life. But I will tell you that in many cultures on Earth, the age of 70 is a little bit like passing a certain kind of "freedom barrier." There are certain stereotypical decisions, rules to apply, expectations that do not apply as you become a true "elder" in the community.

You might think they do, but a little bit of "eccentricity" and becoming a kind of "explorer" is not only tolerated but considered either inspiring or humorous. And in many cases, it is very much about the adventure of "trying to find yourself"... What does that mean?

Well, you weren't lost...any more than you were lost at the age of 7... But you do have a new drive about discovering who you really are, why you are here, and what you might do if there are fewer rules and more tolerance for the unusual and the creative as you pass the age of 70!

After you pass the age of 75 there is even more freedom! This may be surprising, but it really is not, if you think about it.

Now, trying to "find yourself" over the age of 70 is very much of a spiritual journey... It is very much of a journey of self-discovery, of honoring the decades of your life as having value, honoring all learning as valuable. You will see, because often you try to explore creative talents long since left behind, including painting and drawing and dancing. I will tell you that "the dancing 70-year-\ old" gets a ton of applause!

Trying to "find yourself" over the age of 70 is very much of a spiritual journey. It is very much of a journey of self-discovery…

Well, I want to talk to you about trying to find your "higher self" at the age of 70... This is a different adventure. And in these times of great chaos, this is the adventure of "finding yourself" that is changing everything...

You may not know it, but there is a great comradery amongst those over 70 who know that times of chaos are about "discovery," because they have experienced this at other times in their lives. And they have lived through many times of change and wars. They have lived through amazing cultural changes. And they have come out the other side. And they have seen transitions and translations across cultures that are very surprising.

At this age, they remember in these times -- at this year of 2021 -- a time when contact with extraterrestrials was not a subject. It's not that it wasn't a subject for discussion. It simply wasn't a "subject"!

At this age, they remember in these times -- at this year of 2021 -- a time when contact with extraterrestrials was not a subject. It's not that it wasn't a subject for discussion. It simply wasn't a "subject"!...
-----

And then there was a time that it was a subject for even ridicule or tremendous, tremendous curiosity -- just amazing curiosity on the Earth... Well, in these years, we enter that time of "amazing curiosity" once again. And trying to "find yourself" as an "elder" on the planet Earth right now, is very much about finding our own higher dimensional “pathways home" -- your own community, your own family -- and even acknowledgements of some kind of "starry connection," a desire to help the whole planet, and to view planet Earth as "one"... Cultures no longer seem to matter. It is all "one." And as you experience more decades of life, this becomes clearer and clearer.

What might surprise you is that you would even be 'looking for yourself" at the age of 70, because by then you are expected to know who you are! No! This is not true. Once you've passed the 60's, you realize that the "you" and the "yourself" you have known were defined by the first 65 years of your life. They are very precise. They have expectations. They are grounded in all of your procedures and protocols for "aging." But once you pass the age of 70 -- all bets are off!

What might surprise you is that you would even be 'looking for yourself" at the age of 70, because by then you are expected to know who you are! No!...
-----

You could do pretty much what you would like, and it would be considered "eccentric." And there is probably someone who would help you do that.

So. When you're "trying to find yourself" at this age, of course, the most important recommendation that I have is to ground yourself to soar in higher realms of meditative consciousness!

(Coughing) At 70, one perseveres. At 75, one gets really good at persevering. At 78, when you're doing a "message from another planet," and you must cough, you persevere seriously. So, we will continue.

And I will suggest to you that if you are not trying to "find yourself," you begin now, over 70. This is the right time! And (I will suggest) the practice of spiritual meditations of any kind -- environmental, shamanic meditations -- especially meditations with drumming, with deep sounds, with crystal bowls and metal bowls and toning sounds of the human voice, seeking alternative pathways to a consciousness of the heart of love that you know is part of your birthright. (Example of online drumming sound for deeper meditation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkkksl7CN70 )

In some ways, you begin to remember your "starry being" over the age of 70 and can begin quite a diligent quest to know its in's and out's, to know where you came from, to know who you are, to know who your sisters and brothers in other star systems are and to become quite conscientious in the diligence of your search.

-----

You will also find a great desire for "creativity" -- and you may express this in joyful play with grandchildren or young children of your family as well -- even teenage and older children who are looking for non-judgmental, loving adults with a sense of adventure. But in these meditations of "finding yourself," I would suggest that you begin with love... And hence Meditate upon Love.

And I often recommend meditating on love for five levels. Meditate on Love, Level 1. And then do that for several minutes. And then move to Level 2.

Well, today, I would like you to Meditate on Finding Yourself Over the Age of 70...

Do you have to be over the age of 70 to do this meditation? No, of course not! You can be at any age and imagine what it would be like to "find yourself" over the age of 70, literally and figuratively! To "find yourself" an elder on the planet Earth, with a whole cosmos beyond you, with every conceivable kind of technology available to you to research things that are of great interest, including things about other planets and life on other planets and people who have had contact with those on other planets...

Do you have to be over the age of 70 to do this meditation? No, of course not! You can be at any age and imagine what it would be like to "find yourself" over the age of 70…
-----

But this meditation might allow you to find out some beautiful things about yourself. So, I recommend:

  • Meditate on "Finding Yourself" Over 70, Level 1. (""Finding yourself" meaning exploring the vast being of rich possibilities that you are, even as you reach 70, and imagining what this would be like at any age that you are now.)
  • Meditate on "Finding Yourself" Over 70, Level 2.
  • Meditate on "Finding Yourself" Over 70, Level 3.
  • Meditate on "Finding Yourself" Over 70, Level 4.
  • Meditate on "Finding Yourself" Over 70, Level 5.
  • (Note: This deep "Theta" sound or something similar is recommended for this kind of meditation -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcU6w1Pr5gc&t=507s )

And at each level, relax deeply and try to "see yourself" in a dream, an impossible dream of something you would very much like to do when you are over 70, when you feel free to explore, when you also feel that perhaps there are not as many years of your life left, and you would like to explore "the afterlife," over 70! How can you do that? What can you find out?

At each level of this exploration over 70, at each level of any exploration of Meditation on Love, ask any question that you would like....

  • What is a higher dimension like?
  • What would I experience in a higher dimension?
  • Who can I communicate with in a higher dimension?
  • Where can I go, where can I fly across the universe in a higher dimension?
  • What would I find out about myself in a higher dimension?
  • What would I find out about others in a higher dimension?
  • What would I find out about the next 10 years, the next 20 years, the next 300 years on planet Earth in a higher dimension?

I strongly recommend that you begin to write these questions that you would ask, as an experiment, as n adventurous experiment....

You can do this at any age, but if you use the image of "finding yourself"  over the age of 70, you will find that all sorts of variations on the theme of 'freedom" come to mind -- freedom of spirit and soul -- freedom from certain rules and expectations...

You can explore the cosmos in some ways you have not explored before -- and you can even seek to explore it with those of other civilizations... Isn't that a concept! Meditation group for those "trying to find themselves" over 70 from any civilization within the nearest 50 light years! Now, wouldn't that be a fun group? "Dating in other dimensions, over 70..." (Which might be considered VERY young in some other civilizations!)

In your highest levels of consciousness, what sorts of communication and experience and dreams might you have?

But the greatest of these of all -- no matter what exploring and creativity you will find -- is the most profound and loving service to others...others who are younger than you...others who are older than you...others who have different cultural experiences. And you may find that your desire for travel is not just that you now have the time and perhaps you can do this -- it is a "reaching out" to other cultures on Earth, other life experiences, represented in the peoples of different countries and regions -- because you feel a "need" to do that. Part of "finding yourself" over 70 is finding out how similar you are to others over 70 in any culture or life, civilization, experience...

You may find that your desire for travel is not just that you now have the time and perhaps you can do this -- it is a "reaching out" to other cultures on Earth…

I'll ask you as part of this experiment to "dream"...to suggest even in dreams that you go on explorations to find a higher dimensional version of "yourself"...to find certain freedoms and questions you should be asking over 70...even preparing a list of questions you want to ask when you are over 70! "Preparing for Over 70" as the greatest adventure of your life instead of simply arriving there and assuming you're too old to do very much!  No! Life just begins!

*I'll ask you as part of this experiment to "dream"...to suggest even in dreams that you go on explorations to find a higher dimensional version of "yourself"...

"Finding yourself" at the age of 70 and going on that great -- I would say, beyond "adventure," it is like a great stage drama! It is a performance on your part as well as a seeking of different "civilizations of the mind" and explorations of all of the aspects of culture of other locations and also other "thinking"...other perspectives...other avenues that you did not know even know you were interested in, but you are!

Open the mind, open the heart, and begin a journal about "finding yourself" over 70. What is that adventure like? And if you can share that in a "blog," a "log on the web"...if you can share that in a book, "Finding Yourself Over 70" -- you begin to inspire the creativity of many as they approach that age -- for many young people as they dream about a life that goes far beyond the age of 70, for that is where things begin!

With a great deal of love for you and your adventure of "finding yourself" at every age, I am Grandmother from Another Planet.
