"Grandmother on During a Pandemic, a Monumental Time to Shift Identities. You Are Not Walking Alone." and 10 Tips Takeaway List!

GRANDMOTHER:

Greetings. During a pandemic is a monumental time to shift identities. In many senses, a whole planet in communication is shifting its conscious awareness of what "global" means, when every single being is vulnerable to the same virus or illness, and the same difficulties in the environments of work and life and caring for others.

I would like to challenge you to become the person, during this time and for all time, that others are very happy to see coming! This is such a gift, in itself, to make that effort, to be that person. But to do this during a pandemic in which communication is challenged -- is above and beyond the call of duty.

I would like to challenge you to become the person, during this time and for all time, that others are very happy to see coming!

So, I would like you to consider... Would you consider becoming a person who greets others with affirmation, finding at least one good or powerful thing to say, one thing of honor, of respect, of noticing something wonderful about that person that you appreciate? Would you consider doing that for a fellow citizen? For sisters and brothers from every culture? When you see them, greet with affirmation?

Now, that is a persona and an identity in itself. Greet others with affirmations, appreciation, admirations.

Would you like to be greeted in that way? So, greet with affirmations as you would like to be greeted. And because there is a platform and environmental limit in some cases, on how you can greet, this does not mean that you can't greet.

So, a second part of this challenge, to become that new identity, is to take steps each morning, to reach out, to communicate with, to send any form of electronic or other form of communication that is available to you -- to a friend or colleague, or perhaps to open a new partnership in your work. And that is very important right now, because people, in general, feel that they are "on hold" until after the pandemic.

Well, the things that have been set in your society for safety might be a long time shifting to a different venue, a different aura. So, consider that this is your challenge; this is your "blank slate." It has certain limitations. Create a new persona with that.

And now we have two steps each day. Greet with affirmation. And that means you might either have to go out, if that is permitted. Or you can simply communicate electronically.  You can "call." The voice reaches out very well.

This is a very powerful thing to do. The forming of new partnerships and new associations during this kind of period is very powerful because the entire drama is filled with anxiety. That is one of its characteristics. Because no one knows what will happen to them or family members or friends or others that they care about, and therefore there is high anxietyAnd that means that new friendships and even the simplest kindnesses and affirmations will be intensely remembered.

When there is high anxiety, there is intense emotional "remembering."

When there is high anxiety, there is intense emotional "remembering."

Now, the last step for today, after "Greet with affirmations," after "Reaching out" -- is to affirm and reach out to yourself... to love yourself such that you are taking care of your physical health, giving great love to your body, paying attention.

Actually, talking out loud to your body is very powerful. To even sing a song about how much you love and appreciate your body and this experience of being a highly spiritual and loving consciousness in a body. To use that love and that partnership in powerful healing ways, ways of recognition and respect -- CAN CHANGE HEALTH. And it can change your "mood."

So, that with the ability to love and affirm the self, you can go out into the world, whether you do that in person or electronically, as a person in a state of love and appreciation. Affirm yourself. If you would like to start the day in a way that will increase the effectiveness and successes of your work, affirm yourself.

Find at least 3 or 4 things each morning and say it out loud -- things that you think are great about you. That puts you into the gear of doing the same thing for others. Do you see?

This ability to appreciate and affirm the self is a recognition of oneness. Because if you love and affirm the self, if you eat the foods which you know are healthy and do not eat those which are toxic or which are not healthy for you, then, in onenessyou are helping to take care of and improve the health of others.

If you know that exercise is key to your health, and walking in beautiful nature, then when you do that for yourself, you do that for others. That is a gift. I

"I will go for a walk!"  Well, you are not walking alone! You are going for a walk to improve your health, because when you improve your health, you improve everyone else's health, including the animals and the trees.

"I will go for a walk!"  Well, you are not walking alone! You are going for a walk to improve your health, because when you improve your health, you improve everyone else's health...

You change, in that moment of recognition that a walk in nature is a blessing indeed, the rest of the world's health and spirit. Be that spirit. Be that person.

You change, in that moment of recognition that a walk in nature is a blessing indeed, the rest of the world's health and spirit. Be that spirit. Be that person.

There is a massive opportunity for a shift in persona. Since everything else has shifted, it is quite the time for you to shift your own persona, your aura.

Be that person that everyone is delighted to see coming, because they are so full of love that they radiate it to everyone else. Be that shining light. This is a healing, done 7.5 billion times for the planet Earth each day!

With great love for you, with great appreciation, with tremendous admiration that you have chosen to go through this together and to transform the planet -- I am Grandmother from Another Planet.

10 TIPS LIST: For Shifting Identities More Affirmatively & Productively during the Pandemic -- Sandra Rodman

I use "Grandmother" tips in any blog for encouragement, inspiration, meditation -- to shift gears to different, more expansive cosmic view for "thinking out of the box." Some "Tips" I'm using from this one.

  1. Opportunities Today: I ask myself in the morning, "What opportunities do I have today, or what opportunities can I create, to greet others with affirmation?" In Ken Blanchard's words, "catch people doing something right" -- today. It takes about 3 days to make this a habit and it's worth it.
  2. Look at Meetings, Greetings from Others Perspectives and Adjust: Look at online meetings or other communication you have today, and think about how you would like to be greeted, or receive communication -- and adjust your meeting/planning to take that into account for others.
  3. "Reach Out" to 3 People Today. A morning checklist -- "reach out" even if electronically, to at least 3 people today. Reaching out to those you haven't contacted in a while really revs up the "creative energy."
  4. Begin a New Partnership: Think: Is there perhaps a strategic, affirmative new partnership I could form in my work, beginning today? How could I do this? Imagining, creating a gentle, productive way to do this might produce new results, as many people feel "on hold" right now til "after the pandemic." But setting out to energize, create new partnerships, to "reach outs" during pandemic can help inspire new energy and creativity for others.
  5. How Can I Inspire Happiness in Others? Am I a Vision Board for Others? -- Thinking about how to be "a person others are happy to see coming" -- having "a new aura," -- I also think about how I might dress today that is creative or affirming, even if only seen on Zoom. Remembering, that each individual is a "vision board" for others!
  6. 3 Generous Affirmative Things to Start Each Day: I include with my "affirmation and reach out" list -- an older exercise: Start each day by reaching out (especially if a surprise) to 1) Affirm someone, 2) Thank someone, 3) Give a gift to someone -- even if an online, mailed, or a call! These are "acts of kindness," which during the high anxiety of a pandemic, might never be forgotten.
  7. Affirm the Body & Visualize Good Health! In morning meditation, even if just a few minutes, remember to "affirm" your body and health, what's going right -- and visualize a great, healthy body -- visualize doing a lot of wonderful physical things that you'd love to get in shape to do!
  8. Affirm Yourself to Increase Affirming Others. Find 3-4 things each morning that you think are great about you, and say it out loud. This can get me into a "gear" of greeting others the same way.
  9. Walk in Nature for Health! Look Up! Take a walk in beautiful nature, any day that I can manage that, remembering that if I improve my health, it is one step toward bettering the health of a whole planet... Sometimes I like a Twilight Walk in the trees here, where you can "Look Up!" and see stars!... Changes my contextual viewpoint...
  10. Remind Myself: I Am Not Walking Alone during this Pandemic! In meditation -- at least 15 minutes to start the day (!) -- remind yourself that you are not walking alone. We are walking 7.5 billion strong on this one.
